About Respiratory Distress Syndrome:  A status of the new born marked by dyspnea using cyanosis, heralded by such prodromal signs as dilatation of the alae nasi, expiratory grunt, and retraction of the suprasternal notch or costal margins, and mostly often occurring in premature babies, kids of diabetic mothers, and babies delivered by cesarean section, and also sometimes having no apparent predisposing cause.
